Evolution's Embarrassing Moments

Austin H. William Clark (1880-1954) was a well-thought-of Darwinian evolutionist on staff at the Smithsonian Institution. He was the Carl Sagan of his generation, arguably the most well-thought-of evolutionist of his time. He was a fecund author who wrote articles and books in five languages. He was a steadfast and joint guardian of development yet concealed the fact that he could not happen grounds for the theory that truly convinced him. Finally in 1930 He published his book "The New Evolution: Zoogenesis" in which he attacked Darwinism and demolished the theory, citing fact after fact from the dodo record.

He proposed a new theory of life beginnings called "Zoogenesis" which claimed that works and animate beings emerged fully formed from soil and water! The theory was unreasonable on its human face and roundly rejected by abashed evolutionists.

Quickly following this eccentric episode entered a outstanding adult male of scientific discipline in the budding field of genetics. His name was Richard Goldschmidt (1878 - 1958). He proposed the now familiar theory that the chemical mechanism of evolutionary alteration was familial mutations.

He then embarked on a series of unkind experimentations on Gypsy moths that today's animate being rights people would happen gruesomely objectionable. For 25 old age he kept hosts of Gypsy moths and bred them over one thousands of coevals to lavish them with x-rays and mutagenic chemicals.

Goldschmidt expected to do mutants to constitute new species but instead got only deformities. Apparently he wisely concluded that familial mutants were no chemical mechanism for evolution. This, by the way, have been confirmed by recent progresses in familial science that show that mutants are virtually always destructive mistakes that scuffle or cancel genetic information. He viciously attacked Darwinian gradualism in his 1940 book "The Material Footing for Evolution." He proposed a new chemical mechanism called the "Hopeful Monster Mechanism" which avers that development occurred in great leapings such as as a lizard put an egg and out hatchings a bird! This too was an embarrassment to the evolutionists.

The adjacent thirty old age were a clip of disturbance in development circles. The find of deoxyribonucleic acid in the early 1950s by Crick and Thomas Augustus Watson showed the almost unfathomable complexness and preciseness of the chemical designs of life. Each life word form is locked into its ain deoxyribonucleic acid coding form in which even a little mutant can convey a malformation or even fatal results. Development should have got died right there and been banished from our textbooks.

We often see Ph. D. men of science as unbiased, cerebral, methodical searchers of truth who travel where the facts take them but they too have got their presuppositions and prejudices. Work Force of scientific discipline clung to Darwinism which by then was institutionalized and unquestioned.

It should be evident to any indifferent perceiver that development is not scientific discipline in the pure sense because it covers with non repeatable events that occurred in the distant past. Development is a theory of the outworking of biological science over huge ages of history. Biology is scientific discipline but development is a theory of natural history. We all cognize that history is art, not science. History is the fine art of the storyteller. For coevals evolutionists have got got told narratives based on the limited grounds of fragments of bone.

In recent old age genetic science and microbiology have discovered the unfathomable complexness of life and the impossibleness of it forming by randomness. Genetics in peculiar have shown that development have no mechanism.

The adjacent major development narrator was Harvard University professor Sir Leslie Stephen J. Stephen Jay Gould (1941-2002) of our ain clip and recent memory. He was perhaps the top title-holder of development of the twentieth century. He was an amiable and friendly kind of cat who wrote books promoting development to the masses.

He was a smiley faced propagandist for atheistic mercenary evolution. He also had the honestness to confront the flaws of Darwinian gradualism. He, like William Clark and Goldschmidt before him, attacked Darwinism and even went so far as to state that evolutionists lost every argument they ever had with creationists.

Gould's blunt admittance that the dodo record misses transitional word forms caused him to reject gradualism. His onslaughts on development were so joint that creationists frequently cite him. Stephen Jay Gould went on to revisit Goldschmidt's Hopeful Monster theory and frock it up with new insights.

His new theory was called "Punctuated Equilibrium" which claimed, like Goldschmidt, that development occurred in leapings rather than Darwinian gradualism. However, Punctuated Chemical Equilibrium still makes nil to surmount the hyper-improbability that just the right mutants would add just the right one thousands of alkali braces all properly sequenced to do the evolutionary leapings required. Gould's work underscored the fact that development with its storytelling and guess is fine art and not science.

Gould, like Carl Sagan, died of malignant neoplastic disease before reaching three mark and 10 years. I can only trust that in their concluding limpid minutes Stephen Jay Gould and Sagan reflected on the mistakes of atheistic philistinism and turned to Jesus to have forgiveness of sins.
